RV consignment up the road from Lake Tawakoni

BK Consignments sells RVs for their owners from our lot on I-30 in Greenville — about 20 minutes up TX-34 from Quinlan. Bring the camper up once; it stays on our fenced lot free while it’s listed, we handle the buyers, and you get paid at closing.

Tawakoni keeps campers like other lakes keep bass boats

They don’t call it the Catfish Capital of Texas for nothing, and half the people fishing it are sleeping in something with wheels. Fifth wheels that spent years set up at a lakeside spot, travel trailers that migrate between the lake and the driveway, motorhomes that used to make the long trips. Around Tawakoni, a camper isn’t a toy — it’s furniture. Which is exactly why it’s easy to stop noticing when one quits earning its spot.

When the trips stop happening

Plans change. Knees change. The kids took up other things, or the long summers at the spot turned into one weekend a year. Whatever the reason, a camper that sits by a lake ages faster than one that sits anywhere else — sun on one side, damp on the other. The kindest thing you can do for its value is sell it while it still shows well. And the day you decide is the day it’s worth the most.

Twenty minutes, no traffic, no city

TX-34 north out of Quinlan runs you straight into Greenville, and we’re on the I-30 frontage on the west side of town. No metro traffic, no navigating a big-box dealership campus — just a working lot where you talk to Bobby, agree on a number in writing, and leave the rest here. Here’s the whole process, and here’s the free storage deal your camper sits under while it sells.

Straight answers, especially on older rigs

A lot of what’s parked around the lake is fifteen, twenty years old, and the market for those is honest but picky. Bobby will tell you on the phone what yours realistically brings — based on what units like it actually sold for, not what somebody in a Facebook group swears theirs is worth. If the real answer is “not enough to bother,” you’ll hear that too. Nobody here gets paid to waste your afternoon.

Questions from the lake

Mine’s older — a 2004. Is it even worth selling?

Sometimes very much so, sometimes not. Clean older units with good bones still bring real money; rough ones mostly bring headaches. Bobby will tell you which yours is on the phone, honestly, before you spend gas money finding out. That call costs nothing either way.

It hasn’t moved in a couple of years. Now what?

Don’t just yank it onto the highway. Call first — tires, bearings and lights that have sat that long deserve a look before a tow. Bobby can talk you through what to check, and what to do if it isn’t road-ready as it sits.

Can y’all come get it from the lake?

Depends on what it is and where it sits, so that’s a phone conversation, not a promise on a website. Call and lay it out for Bobby — worst case he tells you no and helps you figure out plan B.

What does consigning cost me?

Nothing upfront and nothing monthly. The fee is agreed in writing before it’s listed, and it comes out of the sale at closing. While it sits here, it sits free.
